John Binns managing director, Alex Driver, recently went back to school. He visited Gargrave primary school to teach them all about the wonders of springs. Judging by the thank you card, we think he found his new calling.

We get involved with all kinds of unusual work. We recently powder coated a light bulb sculpture made by a local sculptor, Craig Dyson. Craig has had work sold at Sotheby’s and also works locally in education projects.

Here is another video showing a successful project we carried out using our 3D production series printer. We are always happy to help with prototype development using our technical knowledge on springs. The 3D production series printer enables us to produce fully functional prototypes to help with these projects.

January saw the 9th anniversary of the tragic death of Trace Aldersley. The Silverback Golf Day has been held in his memory every year since; the total raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance now stands at over £20 000. Trace was a great friend of several employees of the company
