Over the years, we have built well-established, close working relationships with our local schools and colleges – often visiting to present talks and host informative workshops. Another major way in which we use our facilities and capabilities to benefit the local community is employing apprentices.
Jake Smith and Joe Wright, two of our recent recruits, have rapidly become very important members of our manufacturing team, while they were still studying for their EAL (Engineering Awards Limited) Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Diploma qualifications – which they have now graduated with. They both also completed additional NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications) in Mechanical Engineering with the company.
Now they are fully qualified we are looking forward to them working with us full-time and being able to perform to their full potential. At JB Springs, we feel that the key to the future success of UK manufacturing lies in attracting, engaging and retaining high-quality individuals like Jake and Joe into various engineering disciplines.
We are very proud of them both and what they have already achieved in such a short space of time.
