As concerns about the spread and impact of coronavirus increase, we feel it is important to outline how we are addressing this situation. 

The ramifications of factory closures, employee quarantines and transports disruptions have already been seen by companies dependent on Chinese supply chains and these could become more significant with European supply chains, especially with the lockdown now in place in northern Italy.  Governments are moving to try to contain the spread of the virus but these measures themselves can create uncertainty and disruption.

At JB Springs, we are looking to minimise any possible disruption for our customers both by reviewing the risks in our supply chain and by speaking with our customers about planning further ahead than might otherwise have been the norm.  We hold a large amount of raw materials in stock and we are putting in place contingency plans to cover our key suppliers.  We should therefore be in a more robust position to deal with delays in supply which may occur.

We will be contacting customers to see what plans might be put in place to safeguard supply, whether that be increased order commitments or stock, and will obviously continue to review the situation and update our customers of any changes.  If you have any pressing concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
