JB Springs are pleased to again be sponsoring the Solstice Saunter this summer – an annual 5-mile run that takes place to raise money for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. Organisers are hopeful that the event – with this year being its sixth time – will be able to go ahead on the planned date of the evening of the longest day of the year 21st June 2021, following the event having to be done virtually in 2020 due to COVID restrictions.
The Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is based in Oxenhope, West Yorkshire and works to provide expert palliative care, advice and a range of aid options to adults living with life-altering conditions across the region – while also providing much-needed support to their families.
For those familiar with the Yorkshire area, runners of all abilities run the scenic route through the Bolton Abbey estate – taking in the scenic Strid Wood – before returning to the finish line back at the Cavendish Pavilion.
Of the event, Manorlands community fundraiser, Molly Ralphson commented, “We are delighted to have the support of JB Springs to help the Solstice Saunter maximise its fundraising potential. We rely heavily on local companies to support the hospice so gestures such as these are really helpful in contributing to the care we can provide”.
