Skipton Sloggers hold onto title at annual charity rounder’s match

The 13th annual rounder’s tournament in memory of Trevor Driver and Jo Fletcher saw last year’s winners, Skipton Sloggers, retain their title. The contest is held in memory of Trevor Driver, who sponsored the Springboks through JB Springs, and Jo Fletcher, a rounder’s player who died suddenly in 2005. JB Springs welcomes Holy Family Catholic School for Bradford Manufacturing Week 2018

This month we welcomed the Years 11 pupils of Holy Family Catholic High School based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, to the JB Springs factory as part of Bradford Manufacturing Week. Bradford Manufacturing Week takes place between the 8th and 12th of October. The unique event showcases the district’s manufacturing companies. ‘Things on springs’ – Objects of Celebration

JB Springs manufactures springs for a wide range of applications across many industries, but we are often approached to produce springs and wireforms for art and sculpture exhibitions. Wireform hearts donated to Gargrave C Of E Primary School

JB Springs recently manufactured and donated a batch of wireform hearts to Gargrave Church of England Primary School in Skipton who were taking part in Gargrave village’s Open Gardens event on Saturday 16th June. More than 400 people, from as far afield as Edinburgh and Hampshire, enjoyed the event, with 23 gardens, including the school grounds, opened up to the public for the day. Solstice Saunter runners will have a ‘spring’ in their step

Carolyn Greenwood retires after three decades with the company

At the end of March, Carolyn Greenwood retired after nearly 30 years with JB Springs. Carolyn was predominately responsible for handling our accounts but also had a number of other roles and responsibilities at the company.  A special lunch was held in her honour at which managing director, Alex Driver, thanked her for her tremendous contribution to the company. Everybody at JB Springs wishes her the very best for a long and happy retirement.

Factory Tour for Year 10 Pupils of Skipton Girls’ High School

Last month we welcomed the Year 10 pupils of Skipton Girls' High School to the factory, who were visiting a number of local companies to broaden their awareness of different engineering organisations. In any engineering industry there are physics involved, raw materials and processes, which all align with the curriculum content within the GCSE Engineering Specification.
