After completing his advanced apprenticeship, Tom W. had further cause for celebration this month after tying the knot with Hayley. Younger brother Joe, also a member of the JB Springs team, did an outstanding job as Best Man. Congratulations Tom and Hayley, we really enjoyed the party!

We recently started an internal training course improving our knowledge in the wonderful world of springs or ‘Springtelligence’ as we are now calling it. We’ll be posting more items on Springtelligence over the coming months.
We were honoured to provide the table decoration for "An Evening with the President". This event was hosted by John Spencer, President of the RFU2017/18 Tour Manager of the British and Irish Lions 2017. Congratulations to our Sales Director, David Whitfield, who has recently completed a 110km run through the Lake District in aid of The Kirstin Royle Trust, a small charity whose aim is to enable young people, especially those with disability or special needs, to participate in sport and outdoor activities.

Continuing with the celebration of 130 years of business for John Binns & Son here is one of the largest pieces of memorabilia stored at that factory. The old works office, informally known as the Tardis, was transported from the previous site in Keighley after the company was moved to Skipton in 1993.
Our second piece of new machinery has arrived and been installed here at John Binns. This machine can coil wire sizes up to 16mm in diameter and is in addition to the new lathe that has been in operation since April. The arrival of these two machines has allowed us to significantly increase production in the larger wire sizes.
