JB Springs is pleased to welcome our new intake of apprentices who, alongside their college studies, will be trained on various roles on the shop-floor as well as our Springtelligence programme. Richard Gaunt has also recently joined us in a production support and quality role.  Richard previously worked at Keighley Laboratories so brings a wealth of experience in metallurgy and testing procedures. Over the summer several JB Springs employees took part in the Northern Total Warrior and Tough Mudder events. The Gargrave Warriors raised £10,000 for new IT equipment for Gargrave Primary School at the Great Northern Total Warrior in Braham Park. The Total Warrior challenge is a 12k course that includes obstacles like the ‘Human BBQ’, ‘The Plunge’ and ‘The Shocker’. We would like to congratulate our apprentices on completing their apprenticeship training. Well done to Joe Wright who has completed his Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technology, and to Ben McEwan, George Carmen, and Scott Tennant, who have all completed their Level 2 Diploma Foundation in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. Good luck in the next levels of your training.

As part of Bradford Manufacturing Week JB Springs will be welcoming two groups of students from Keighley College. Bradford Manufacturing Week takes place from 7th to the 18th of October. It is a unique event organised by Bradford Chamber of Commerce and is designed to showcase the district’s manufacturing strength to inspire, encourage and educate young people about the opportunities for a fulfilling and rewarding career in manufacturing - something we are very passionate about here at JB Springs. On the 20th and 21st, July JB Springs attended the Bradford Science Festival for the first time. The Bradford Science Festival is a free weekend full of fascinating science. This year’s festival explored a range of themes, including space travel, chemistry and caring for the environment. Held at Bradford’s National Science and Media Museum, the weekend was jam-packed, and provided hands-on discovery, exploration, and fun for people of all ages.
