Doing Our Bit In Fight Against Covid-19

In these testing times, the team on the shop floor at JB Springs can be proud of contributing to the fight against Coronavirus. Over the last eight weeks we have been manufacturing springs for ventilators, hospital beds, and our 3D printer has been producing components for PPE visors.These springs for ventilators were manufactured and dispatched within 24 hours of the order being received.

Automation In Action

At JB Springs we are constantly improving our manufacturing efficiency and accuracy.This is a perfect example of how technology is helping us to achieve this. In the video above, 12mm pre-galvanised wire-forms, produced on a WAFIOS BM6, are being checked by a Keyence high-speed quality inspection camera, and then picked and packed by our RARUK Automation Robot arm (affectionately known as Kevin).

JB Springs Increases Investment in Inspection Technology

JB Springs recently installed a new LED2D-140 inspection camera from industry leaders MicroStudio.The camera is able to detect and precisely measure springs and wireforms with amazing speed when the parts are placed on the instrument’s table. JB Springs brings Springtelligence to Low Ash Primary School

Recently JB Springs visited Low Ash Primary School in Shipley, following a competition at Bradford Science Week. JB Springs took Springtelligence to the Year 3 classes at Low Ash Primary School and taught them the basics of springs and where they are used in our daily lives.
