JB Springs’ innovative new e-commerce website has been shortlisted in the ‘Web Development Project of the Year’ category in the 2019 Digital Entrepreneur Awards.
The website has been nearly two years in development and has gradually evolved during that time to now offer, what we believe, is the slickest, most comprehensive online custom spring buying experience in the world.
JBSprings48.com allows the user to create and order over 200 million product (spring) variations based on their inputs and once the order is complete the springs are manufactured and then despatched within 48 hours. At each stage of the specification and design process a dynamically created diagram will show the user’s spring.
The site provides this exact same functionality and smooth user experience on desktops, tablets and mobiles – replicating this experience without diluting it on mobile devices was a particularly significant challenge, but was ultimately overcome.
The site is not only aimed at engineers, designers and people that buy from stock spring catalogues currently, but also the people that don’t, and may need some guidance.
For this reason, the site offers tips and over 20 specifically created video animations from our Springtelligence education programme to educate and guide the user through every possible aspect of specifying a spring during the online specification process.
The Digital Entrepreneur Awards website states the awards celebrate “high-profile websites and leaders driving online commerce and the silent heroes who develop systems that change the online landscape and shape our digital future”.
Judges for the awards include Jacqueline de Rojas CBE, President of techUK and chair of the Digital Leaders board, Susie Ma, Founder & CEO of Tropic Skincare and Heather Waters, Enterprise Manager at NatWest.
Winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner in November at the Principle Hotel in Manchester city centre.
