Keighley Association of Engineers – JB Springs Factory Visit
On Wednesday the 25th of September we had the pleasure of welcoming 20 members of the Keighley Association of Engineers to our site in Skipton.
Within JB Springs we aim to align with CGR’s global goal of being carbon neutral by 2030, working to achieve this we will reduce carbon emissions and encourage the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles.
After a presentation from David our Sales Manager, we led 3 groups on a tour of the factory highlighting the processes and materials used while manufacturing helical coil springs, flat springs and wire forms.
Our engineers were happy to answer questions and share insights into their knowledge and how we utilise CNC machinery throughout the departments. We discussed how we assist in spring design, technical support, prototype springs and volume manufacturing for compression, tension and torsion, wire formed components and flat springs.
The Keighley Association of Engineers serves as a hub for engineers and industry professionals, promoting professional development and collaboration within the local engineering community. With Keighley’s strong industrial heritage in sectors like textile machinery and heavy engineering, KAE offers lectures, technical talks, site visits, and social events to keep members informed and connected.
“On behalf of the Engineers Association I would like to give you all a massive thank you for this afternoon’s visit. Very professional and informative.” ~ John McCluskey
