At JB Springs within CGR, we believe that the future of spring manufacturing lies not only in cutting-edge technology but also in nurturing the next generation of skilled engineers.

That is why we’re proud to offer apprenticeship programs, these are designed to equip young talent with the hands-on experience and technical knowledge required to excel the specialised field that is spring manufacturing.

After a lot of hard work in the class room alongside working in our factory with our skilled spring makers, Matthew McEwan (pictured) passed his Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering apprenticeship. He has come out with not only the technical knowledge but also a wealth of experience. Matthew works within our auto coil department and is recognised as being a key cog in “The JB machine”. Well done, Matthew!

One of our new starters Seb Eastell will be starting his apprenticeship later on this month with day release to Bradford College. Seb joined JB Springs after completing his A levels at Giggleswick School. He was actively looking for an engineering role while gaining more qualifications within the sector and we fitted the bill.

At the end of August, we welcomed Corentin to the team, Corentin is here on a 3-month internship and has been working with our sales team to explore different markets we supply. We are hoping he will gain the necessary experience to thrive in a variety professional environment while using the practical, technical knowledge he gains form CGR.
